Meet Emily
My Boo
I’m a do-er and go-getter but Brian balances me out, slows me down and keeps me grounded. He’s taught me more about grace than I ever knew I needed and is the first to encourage me as seasons change and my capacity shifts. One of our favorite low budget dates is throwing home mixed cocktails in coffee thermoses & then walking through various neighborhoods throughout the city to discuss life + current events while commenting on all the architecture!
My family
My husband Brian and I are transplants to Memphis but we met, started our family here and have been grateful to call it home for the last 9 years! Our son Theo is a little energizer bunny who is obsessed with Dude Perfect trick shots & brings a whole lot of joy wherever he goes.
B & I are on opposite ends of the introvert/extrovert spectrum but both desire to keep our home open to others while practicing transparency. Gathering old and new friends together gives me so much life. In the midst of it all, I am continually discovering how to navigate the dynamics of our multi-ethnic marriage and family.
Our every day life values the simple things and our travels represent our desire to always experience & learn from other cultures!
a few favorites…

Travel Blog
Walking the streets of a foreign country, being immersed in a different language and tasting the dishes of another culture are what makes me feel most alive! I try to buy a piece of watercolor art wherever I travel & that, in combination with images I take, is my souvenir. If you are traveling for your honeymoon or just generally, I’m always eager to chat about the tips and tricks I’ve learned over the years! I will also unashamedly stalk all of your travel posts! haha
